I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Berkeley. I received a BA in Architecture with high honors, and minors in Sustainable Design and City & Regional Planning.
Currently I am an architectural designer (Arch I) at Perkins+Will in San Francisco, CA. Previously I have worked as a designer (level-C) at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and a n architectural intern at Fong & Chan Architects [both also in San Francisco].
Architecturally, I am interested in deep green design, parametricism, new urbanism, participatory design, and social movements.
My own architectural design approach is formalistic and performative, drawing from artistic and technical perspectives respectively. Kinetic and adaptive facade systems are of special interest to me. In general, I see architecture as a fundamentally transformative tool that can enact social, political, cultural, and environmental change [for the better], and should be used accordingly.
In urban design, I am particularly interested in the impact of neoliberalism on cities and its productions of inequalities of space, the political economy of neighborhoods, and the idea, practice, and formation of community in cities.
This Ppage is a portfolio of my work from studios ARCH 100A/B/C/D, ARCH 140/150, ARCH 229, ENV DES 11A/B, as well as artwork from other classes, internships, and various personal design/artistic endeavors.
